Over the past few years, ATT has been consistently placing its products in the BIM model library. BIM (Building Information Modelling), is an excellent system for assisting designers and architects in the design process. It allows all project participants to have full control over activities at every stage, including generating, viewing and editing 3D models. The tool allows the creation of building models that contain extensive data, thus avoiding potential collisions at each stage of the project development.
Our BIM file development team detailed several steps in creating the design environment. We started by modeling basic products such as floor drains and manholes.
We then created www.models.att.eu, a platform where data can be easily viewed and downloaded for implementation into the design phase.
A complete library of fixed models is useful in day-to-day work, but complex industrial projects require architects/designers to be flexible in responding to clients’ expectations. So, in cooperation with our BIM modeling partner, ATT created a dynamic model of a drainage channel. The element was designed so that the user can specify, for example:
– basic dimensions -> length/width;
– type of channel bottom
– location and model of drain
– type of grating
– load class of the channel
– type of steel
– edge finishing
Check out how easy it is to create, for example, a linear channel project: Click
The next step is to combine all the functionalities we have developed. With a set of connectors, a complete ATT drainage system with specific dimensions and parameters can be designed, implemented into the BIM model, meeting even the most exorbitant expectations of investors.
You can watch the process of modeling the drainage system at this link.
Our proprietary ATT resource library is available on one of the most popular platforms supporting architects: www.bimobject.com.
After completing the design cycle and putting the drains in BIM models, we started working on new elements and developing the technology.
